Nolita Shopping Guide

Not quite as crowded as SoHo but with the same slim cobblestoned streets, Nolita is a neighborhood that feels fresh, fun, and still a bit like a secret. Located in Lower Manhattan on Mott, Mulberry, and Elizabeth Streets, just south of Houston Street, these quaint streets on the cusp of New York’s Little Italy neighborhood (Nolita’s name comes from “North of Little Italy”) are an enclave of excellent eateries and attractive shops to get lost among. Here are our suggestions for the best boutiques that you shouldn’t miss when shopping in Nolita.

Stylish and minimalist shoe brand Coclico aspires to the highest ethical and environmental standards, and their shoes will leave you coming back for more. Trying on new styles to find the perfect fit in their Nolita shop is a pleasure thanks to the thoughtfully designed space and welcoming staff.

From the same company as the highly popular The Ordinary brand, DECIEM’s Nolita location is in an odd little spot located in a long hallway off of Prince Street but still well-stocked with a wide range of functional beauty products. Deciem gets rave reviews for its affordable serums, super lightweight foundations, tinted creams, and other skincare must-haves.

Swedish company Fjällräven is known for its trendy outdoor apparel and durable gear — a great stop for all you nature junkies.

L’appartement Sezane

Get lost in L’Appartement Sézane, a charming French boutique strewn with artistic and timeless pieces. You can curate your whole life à la Parisienne here — from the perfect home accessories to a tres chic dress or beautifully made sweater. Header image of L’Appartment Sezane by @heydavina.

Love, Adorned

A light and airy fine jewelry and lifestyle shop, Love, Adorned is filled with unique and beautiful items, from vintage and designer jewelry to artisanal apothecary brands and even fresh florals.

Schott NYC

A classic, American brand known for expertly crafted rock-n-roll leather jackets, Schott NYC has been around since 1913. Its flagship store in Nolita is worth a stop whether you’re in the market for a new leather jacket to add an edge to your wardrobe or not.

Scotch & Soda

Amsterdam-based Scotch & Soda offers men’s, women’s, and kid’s clothing inspired by art and artifacts from around the world. The brand has built a cult following over the years and has five locations in Manhattan, including Nolita.

This location of the New York-founded clothier Vince is probably one of the best places to shop for the basics and cashmere men’s and women’s pieces they’re known for.
